16 October 2018, Bangkok, Thailand: Global Aviation Co., Ltd of Bangkok Thailand has reached an agreement with Schweizer Helicopters RSG of Fort Worth, Texas USA to represent them in the Kingdom of Thailand. Schweizer is the manufacturer of the 269 Series Helicopter (Schweizer 300, etc.) having recently purchased all the intellectual property, rights, tooling, and know-how from Sikorsky (a subsidary of Lockheed-Martin) in January of 2018. While the company is planning to begin manufacture of complete aircraft in early 2019, Schweizer RSG President David Horton said, "Our most important effort currently is to support the fleet of approximately 2000 Schweizer Helicopters worldwide. Toward this end, we are investing heavily in our spare parts inventory." Global Aviation CEO Ronnakron Sapmuangphan said in an interview, "We are proud and excited to represent Schweizer and the helicopter which trained generations of Royal Thai Army and US Army Helicopter Pilots and thousands of others throughout the world.
